CI-V in your pocket
Frequency and mode follow the 705. The log does not ask you to type 14.062 when the radio already knows.
Icom IC-705
The IC-705 logger that actually speaks CI-V.
Log73 is built around the radio you take outside. Frequency, mode, S-meter, and spectrum cues from the IC-705 — with a log fast enough for a park pileup.
S-meter and status
A tactical meter on the phone so you can log without staring at the radio in noon sun.
Bluetooth field profile
Connect, operate, disconnect. The QSO is already written if the radio link drops.
HF, VHF, UHF, SAT
The 705 is an all-band portable. Log73 does not pretend it is an HF-only shack radio.
Questions
Does Log73 require a laptop with the IC-705?
No. Phone CAT is the point. The 705 plus Log73 is a complete portable station.
Will it set frequency from a spot?
Yes. Park and cluster spots can drive the VFO when CAT is up.
